NEW DELHI (ANI)-  Kull is a bold new drama that delves into power, loyalty, and family in the regal corridors of Bikaner. Streaming exclusively on JioHotstar the new show centers on the royal Raisingh family, caught in a battle for the throne.

Leading the cast is Nimrat Kaur as Rani Indrani Raisinggh—an unapologetically strong woman navigating deep internal and external power struggles.

“Indrani hides a storm beneath her calm exterior. She’s complex, loyal, and quietly powerful,” said Nimrat. “This role offered me a rare opportunity to explore a woman whose strength isn’t always visible but runs deep.”

Kull also stars Ridhi Dogra and Amol Parashar, forming the core trio in a story filled with betrayal, ambition, and long-buried secrets. Parashar plays Abhimanyu Raisinggh, a young prince thrust into a brutal power struggle following his father’s murder.

For Nimrat, stepping into a royal character came with emotional challenges. “It’s the first time I’ve played someone this layered,” she said. “Indrani’s transformation—from where she starts to where she ends—is subtle yet profound. I had a lot of internal dialogue before taking this on.”

While the royal setting adds grandeur, Nimrat emphasized that Indrani’s battles are largely internal. “It’s not just about inheriting a throne—it’s about the emotional weight she carries as the eldest sister.”

Filming at Bikaner Palace added authenticity. “I stayed at the palace during the shoot. Walking its corridors in a chiffon saree and pearls made me feel like royalty—it was incredibly immersive,” she shared.

Kull marks Nimrat’s second collaboration with producer Ekta Kapoor, following The Test Case. “Ekta has trusted me with powerful roles. Working again with her and director Sahil Raza has been a privilege.”

Nimrat also drew parallels between Indrani and her own life as the eldest sibling. “There’s always a sense of responsibility and fierce love. I relate deeply to that desire to protect and guide.”
