According to PEOPLE, sources close to the Trump family say Melania views Musk as a beneficial influence, even jokingly considering him a “babysitter” for her husband.

“Melania is glad to have a babysitter for Donald,” a Palm Beach source told PEOPLE. “If Musk stays around, she might even find a project to team up with him on. She’s good at making the best of situations she can’t control.”

While Trump has turned the family’s Palm Beach estate into a hub for political discussions, Melania reportedly keeps her distance from his dealings. “Melania has her own life and isn’t involved in her husband’s political maneuvers, including those with Musk,” another source explained to the media outlet.

CNN previously reported that Musk has been at Mar-a-Lago nearly every day since the election, golfing, dining, and participating in conversations about White House staffing. He even joined the Trumps for New Year’s Eve.
