Journey with an Invisible Power by Morari Bapu
NEW DELHI, (IANS) – Renowned spiritual leader Morari Bapu has released a captivating documentary film and two compelling new books centered on the 12 Jyotirlinga Ram Katha Yatra. The documentary, titled “Morari Bapu’s 12 Jyotirlinga Ram Katha Yatra by Train,” is rich in spiritual insights and personal experiences. The books are “Journey with an Invisible Power” and “Sacred Stories from the 12 Jyotirlingas.”
The premiere of the documentary took place at Chitrakutdham in Talgajarada, Morari Bapu’s native village in the Mahuva district of Bhavnagar, Gujarat. This one-hour film documents the spiritual leader’s 12 Jyotirlinga Ram Katha Yatra, a remarkable pilgrimage undertaken by Morari Bapu and his 1008 followers in July-August 2023. They sought divine darshan at each Jyotirlinga and immersed themselves in the spiritual discourse of Ram Katha, weaving together tales, folklore, and legends related to each sacred site.
The documentary, shot by a dedicated team traveling on one of the two trains, vividly captures the major highlights of the journey, including views from devotees and Morari Bapu himself. The expedition covered 12,000 kilometers over 18 days, traversing from the icy Himalayan heights to verdant valleys and sprawling seacoasts, and visiting the holiest shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Morari Bapu, known for his recitation of the Ramayana and his message of “truth, love, and compassion,” has been conducting spiritual discourses worldwide for over 65 years.
The first book, “Journey with an Invisible Power,” is a travelogue chronicling the historic pilgrimage covering the 12 Jyotirlingas. It eloquently captures the poetic beauty of the journey, exploring the essence of each destination and delving into the history, architecture, and legends associated with the temples. The book unveils Morari Bapu’s daily routines during the pilgrimage, sharing moments previously concealed.
The second book, “Sacred Stories from the 12 Jyotirlingas,” invites followers to share their experiences, whether they physically traveled or not. These narratives, accepted in both Hindi and English, capture heartfelt sentiments and personal reflections of devotees, offering an unfiltered glimpse into their spiritual journeys.
Born on Shivratri in 1946 in Gujarat, Morari Bapu was taught the deeper meanings of the Ramayana by his grandfather and guru, Tribhuvandas Ji. By the age of 12, he had imbibed the entire scripture and began reciting it at 14. Beyond his spiritual work, Morari Bapu actively supports social causes, reaches out to marginalized communities, and advocates for environmental protection. He has raised funds for disaster-stricken areas and accepts food as alms from people of all backgrounds.
