Nikki Haley’s Son Stirs Online Religious Firestorm Against Vivek Ramaswamy
India-West News Desk
Nalin Haley waded into what had largely been seen as a moment of clarity and restraint from Vivek Ramaswamy — and quickly turned it into a fresh round of religious sparring.
The Ohio gubernatorial candidate had been speaking at Montana State University during an event hosted by Turning Point USA, the conservative organization once led by the late Christian commentator Charlie Kirk. There, Ramaswamy was confronted by a student who questioned whether a Hindu could legitimately represent a Christian-majority state.

“Jesus Christ is God, and there is no other God,” the young man said. “How can you represent the 64 percent of Ohioans who are Christian if you’re not one of them?” He went on to suggest that a Hindu of Indian origin could not “conserve” America’s founding traditions.
Ramaswamy, maintaining composure, responded with a concise defense of his faith and his candidacy. “With due respect, I believe in one true God — from the Vedanta tradition of Advaita philosophy,” he said. “That God resides in all of us and appears in different forms. I’m an ethical monotheist. And I’m not running to be pastor of Ohio — I’m running to be governor.”

His answer, praised by many for its calm tone and emphasis on shared values, nonetheless provoked backlash from Nalin Haley, son of former UN ambassador Nikki Haley. “Comparing the Holy Trinity to your 330 million gods is blasphemous and disrespectful,” Nalin wrote on X. “If you’re going to run in a Christian state, at least learn our faith.”

That attack drew swift condemnation online. One user accused Nalin of “pandering to racists,” calling him a “useful idiot.” Another told him, “You’ll never be one of us.” Nalin shot back that he was defending Christianity, not whiteness, before descending into a separate spat with author Richard Hanania — one that ended with a personal insult about Hanania’s appearance.

I agree with Nalin. Mr.Ramaswamy’s response is like Democrat Party saying there is no difference between them and the Republican Party ignoring the fundamental differences between the two!

Nalini Haley is the son of loose. He is not an idiot but an extraordinary idiot. He has a limited vocabulary… but the turn over is terrific. He is no talent nerd who should use his time playing with toys.

Considering Nikki Haley’s religious values, she will not approve of her son’s statements on religion and politics. She will admonish him for taking a cheap shot and the under-the-belt blow to someone from a different faith than his own. Although Vivek’s political beliefs are contrary to the liberal traditions of the United States, the state shall not promote a religion nor aid one; he is correct in his assertion that he has the right to worship his God of choice as he sees fit.

Incredibly articulate and brilliant Ramaswamy who is an asset to the Indian American diaspora as opposed to Nikki Haley and her brood who is ashamed of their Indian ancestry are liability and should be considered out casts. Ramaswamy was right in saying that he’s not contesting for a religious office but a Governor of a State. And this statement should be addicted for anyone trying to bring religion into politics regarding to the Constitution should be separate.
