Punjabi Actor Aman Dhaliwal Stabbed In Corona, CA; Suspect Ronald Chand Arrested

CORONA, CA – Punjabi actor Aman Dhaliwal, who also had a minor role in the Bollywood film ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai, was attacked in a gym, here on March 14.

A video doing the rounds on social media, shows the accused asking for water from people around while holding Dhaliwal at knife point. Moments later, the actor finding the right moment, turns around and pins the accused to the ground. Others then come running and do not let the assailant escape. The video is part of an ongoing police investigation.

Officers responded to a report of an assault around 9:20 a.m. at a Planet Fitness gym located at 3685 Grand Oaks, according to Corona police. The attacker has been identified as Ronald Chand, 30, of Santa Ana.

According to media reports, the incident took place when Aman was exercising in the gym. The accused held a knife and threatened others.

Police said Dhaliwal, who is currently hospitalized, was stabbed several times and was covered in blood. He has sustained injuries and scars on his torso, according to a report. Chand was also taken to a hospital for minor injuries and then booked for attempted murder at Robert Presley Detention Center. His bail has been set at $1 million.
