Punjabi Musicians Public Spat: AP Dhillon And Diljit Dosanjh

MUMBAI, (ANI) – Punjabi singer Karan Aujla made waves on his India tour, captivating fans in Mumbai with surprise appearances and electrifying performances. However, it was the unexpected collaboration with fellow Punjabi artist AP Dhillon on December 22 that truly stole the spotlight.

The concert, attended by Bollywood celebrities like Karan Johar and Neha Dhupia, featured a memorable moment when Aujla invited Dhillon on stage. The two singers performed to an ecstatic crowd, and Dhillon later shared a picture on Instagram with the caption, “Mahol pura wavy” (The vibe is totally lit). Aujla responded with a playful comment, “Neend ni aundi” (I can’t sleep). While fans were excited by the performance, this surprise collaboration also took place amid a public exchange between AP Dhillon and another prominent Punjabi artist, Diljit Dosanjh.

Earlier, Dosanjh had given a shoutout to both Aujla and Dhillon for their tours, sharing a supportive speech on social media. “Mere aur do bhaiyon ne tour shuru kiya hai, unke liye bhi best of luck. Ye independent music ka time shuru hai,” he said, wishing both artists well and highlighting the rise of independent music in India. He also spoke about the significance of “vocal for local” in the industry, emphasizing the growing prominence of Indian artists.

However, the situation took a dramatic turn during Dhillon’s Chandigarh concert, where he addressed Diljit, claiming, “First, unblock me on Instagram and then talk to me.” Dhillon accused Dosanjh of blocking him on social media, sparking a heated debate online. Diljit swiftly responded with screenshots showing he hadn’t blocked Dhillon, but the dispute escalated as AP Dhillon shared screen recordings in defense of his claim. He even posted on Instagram Stories, saying, “At least we know what’s real and what’s not,” fueling the tension between the two.

Despite the online drama, both artists continue to enjoy massive success in their respective careers. Dhillon, known for blending Punjabi and Western music, is gaining international acclaim, while Diljit is wrapping up his Dil-Luminati Tour, with his final performance scheduled for December 29 in Guwahati.

As Aujla’s tour continues, the excitement surrounding his performances grows, marked by collaborations with Bollywood stars like Vicky Kaushal and Parineeti Chopra. The Mumbai concert, in particular, was a star-studded affair, with Vicky Kaushal joining Aujla on stage for a performance of their hit song “Tauba Tauba” from the film Bad Newz. The crowd’s energy was electric, and both artists seemed to feed off the incredible atmosphere.

Aujla’s India tour is not just about music but about collaboration, bringing together stars from different worlds to create unforgettable moments for fans. His Mumbai show was a testament to his growing influence, with Aujla himself getting emotional during his performance as he expressed gratitude to the audience and fellow performers for their support.

Meanwhile, as both Karan Aujla and AP Dhillon make waves in the music industry, the ongoing rivalry between Dhillon and Diljit Dosanjh continues to keep fans on edge.
