HOUSTON, TX-Pratham USA has announced a leadership transition at the top of its National Board of Directors, with Raj Shah set to assume the role of Chair effective April 1.

The transition follows the completion of the three-year term of current Board Chair Dhiren Shethia, who will step down at the end of March 2026 but continue to serve as a member of the National Board.

Pratham USA said the change is part of a planned succession process. Shah, who currently serves as Vice Chair of the National Board, has been closely associated with the organization and its mission for several years.

During his tenure as Chair, Shethia oversaw efforts to strengthen board governance, expand and diversify board representation, and support the organization’s long-term growth strategy.

Incoming Chair Raj Shah is co-CEO of MSI and has previously held senior roles in investment banking at Lehman Brothers. He also serves on the boards of Pratham USA’s Los Angeles chapter and the Orange County chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization.

“Pratham’s mission has long resonated with me, and I am honored to step into the role of Board Chair,” Shah said. “I look forward to building on the strong foundation in place and working closely with the board and leadership team to advance Pratham’s impact.”

Pratham USA CEO Manisha Bharti said, “Dhiren’s leadership has been instrumental in strengthening Pratham USA’s impact, and I am deeply grateful for his strategic counsel and commitment,” Bharti said. “Raj brings long-standing dedication, deep institutional knowledge, and thoughtful leadership, and I am confident he will guide the organization effectively into its next phase.”

Pratham USA works to support large-scale education initiatives focused on improving learning outcomes for children and young people and mobilizes resources through a national network of chapters across the United States.
