SCHAUMBURG, IL – Raja for Illinois initiated its first statewide television advertising campaign on July 15 for the Illinois Senate primary with the release of an ad titled “Bullies.”

The spot features Raja addressing Illinois voters directly about his enduring commitment to confronting powerful adversaries, advocating for the disadvantaged, and challenging systemic inequities.

The campaign announced that the advertisement is airing across Illinois broadcast and streaming platforms, aiming to reach residents throughout the state.

In the advertisement, Raja states, “Growing up with a name and a background like mine, I always felt like an underdog…and I still do. When I see other underdogs hurt by a rigged system, I fight back. And as your Senator, I’ll take on the biggest bully of them all. Because underdogs? We just fight harder.”

Raja, who grew up in public housing, relied on food stamps, and attended Peoria public schools, has dedicated his career to defending families like his own. Over the past decade, he has challenged major entities such as Big Pharma, food manufacturers, Big Tobacco, and large corporations. Now, he is directing his focus toward Donald Trump, having previously voiced opposition to Trump’s universal tariffs and proposed cuts to Medicaid and Medicare, asserting his commitment to protecting Illinois families.

The release of “Bullies” follows two months of campaign momentum for Raja’s U.S. Senate bid, marked by a 13-point lead in recent polling, significant fundraising advantages, endorsements from local leaders across Illinois, and extensive media coverage of his campaign events.

  • I actually voted for Raja, but I am sick of his ads already. Obviously he is trying to buy the office he’s running for.
