Ramaswamy: Will End Birthright Citizenship, Transgenders Have Mental Disorder
SIMI VALLEY, CA (IANS) – At the second Republican presidential debate, Vivek Ramaswamy said that he favors stripping birthright citizenship for the children of illegal immigrants.
Seven Republican candidates clashed at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library here on September 28 where Ramaswamy was asked “what legal premise” he would use to expel undocumented immigrants and their US-born children from the country.
“I favor ending birthright citizenship for the kids of illegal immigrants in this country,” the biotech entrepreneur told Univision host Ilia Calderon.
Born to immigrant parents from India, the 38-year-old said that the children of undocumented immigrants born in the country are not entitled to US citizenship as their parents “broke the law” to be in the country.
Asserting that he has “read” the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, Ramaswamy said stating from it that “all persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the laws and jurisdiction thereof are citizens”.
Ramaswamy’s views corresponded with fellow Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump who vowed to end birthright citizenship for children of unauthorized immigrants if he wins the 2024 election.
During the debate, Ramaswamy also termed transgender as a “mental health disorder” while responding to a question about parental notification about their children’s gender identities.

For once I support his stance on citizenship. US Constitution was framed when the world was different and this country was just starting to lay roots.

Between Trump and Ramaswamy they have 76% of the Republican vote and Trump called Nikki Haley has a “Bird Brain” and he said, he will not support her in any position or his supporters. She is a snake that will hurt any employer. She is totally out of the equation the only ones who can beat Biden and get out of this mess that this country is in, has to be persons not partisan. Trump has 250 million civil damage is spending the worst that can happen to him is he has to pay this money and for him it’s a peanuts that’s not going to affect the MAGA voters in fact, his popularity has gone up since his indictments. The Super Tuesday is March 4th 2024 and nothing will happen before that date to hamper is candidacy.
