Repeat Offender Manjot Singh To Be Deported
India-West News Desk
SEATTLE, WA – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has announced the impending deportation of Manjot Singh, the 25-year-old Indian citizen, who was recently arrested here. Singh, who entered the country illegally, has a lengthy criminal record, including at least six arrests by local authorities for offenses such as robbery, DUI, and criminal impersonation.
Despite this troubling history, Singh had remained free until federal authorities intervened. ICE released a video of his apprehension on social media, using the case to highlight what it calls the failure of “sanctuary city” policies.
According to the agency, local officials’ refusal to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement allowed Singh to stay in the country far longer than he should have. “Now that he’s in our custody, Manjot should expect to be deported,” ICE stated.

Seattle, where Singh was detained, is among several cities that limit cooperation with federal immigration authorities saying it affects community trust while critics argue that these measures can shield repeat offenders like Singh, jeopardizing public safety in the process.
Singh’s deportation is expected to move forward following completion of ICE’s administrative proceedings.

How many times does one have to be arrested for crimes and released before getting kicked out? One or two are not the answers.
