Rising Star Arjun Bajwa Reflects On His Musical And Acting Journey

MUMBAI, (ANI) – Arjun Pratap Bajwa may be new to the entertainment world, but he has already turned heads with his talent in music and acting. In a candid conversation, the young artist shared how the lockdown became the unlikely beginning of his musical career, with a push from his mother playing a pivotal role.

“Honestly speaking, I explored singing during the lockdown,” Bajwa said. “There was nothing else to do, and as a music enthusiast, I tried my hand at it. There was an application that everyone started using to dub songs. My mom used to sing this old classic, Rahen Na Rahen Hum. One day, I casually dubbed it, and she encouraged me to record professionally. A friend helped me connect with a music producer, and that’s how my journey started.”

Since then, Bajwa has released tracks like Thinkin’ Bout You, Hellcat, and Enroute, which have begun to showcase his range and passion as a musician. He has also stepped into acting, featuring alongside Punjabi star Nimrat Khaira in the music video for Doubts.

“She’s a good friend and asked me to be part of the video. I just went ahead and did it,” Bajwa recalled, reflecting on the collaboration.

Bajwa’s acting pursuits also include a role in Girish Malik’s film Band of Maharajas, which recently made it to the Oscars’ reminder list. The recognition, he said, was beyond his wildest dreams.

“It was a very pleasant surprise because I never imagined my first film would be in contention for the Oscars. It’s a big achievement,” he said.

The milestone also earned him a shout-out from Bollywood star Bhumi Pednekar. “She’s like family and always very supportive. All my love to her,” Bajwa said, expressing gratitude for her encouragement.

When asked about the role of networking in the industry, Bajwa emphasized the value of surrounding oneself with inspiring individuals.

“Your network is what makes you. If you’re surrounded by great people, regardless of their profession, they help you grow,” he said. “I don’t think connecting specifically in Bollywood is necessary, but having friends who uplift me is something I’m truly grateful for.”
