EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – On Ram Navami, a significant day in the Indian spiritual calendar, over 200 attendees gathered here, for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Sadhu Vaswani Center for World Peace. The event marked the start of construction for a sanctuary that embodies the vision of Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani—a space dedicated to peace in the Western world.
Spiritual leader Didi Krishna Kumari, who currently leads the Sadhu Vaswani Mission, chose Ram Navami for this pivotal moment. She emphasized that the center will not only serve as a place of peace but also feature a memorial shrine honoring both Sadhu T.L. Vaswani and Dada J.P. Vaswani.
The day’s program began with the World Peace Song, composed and performed by Mohit Budhwani alongside a group of children from the Sadhu Vaswani Gurukul. Their performance highlighted the importance of nurturing peace through the younger generation.

In keeping with Sadhu Vaswani Mission traditions, a sacred text was opened to provide divine guidance for the day. This time, the Anjali Sangrah, a collection of poems and spiritual messages by Dada J.P. Vaswani, was chosen.
The message read aloud was deeply moving: “Do you know who’s coming? The embodiment of Love is opening the doors of hearts… He lights the inner flame, and ignites the eternal light!” Nirmal Mirchandani, a long-time devotee, read these words, his voice trembling as many in the audience were moved to tears.
This moment was seen by many as a sign that Dada J.P. Vaswani’s promise, made years ago, had been fulfilled—”When you no longer find me in Poona, look for me here.”
The ceremony drew attendees of all ages, from children to seniors, all united in their commitment to peace.
Over the next 18 months, the center will take shape, featuring a memorial shrine, meditation and prayer spaces, a Gurukul for children, a spiritual library, wellness areas, and a Peace Park with lotus-shaped meditation pods and reflection pools, a press release said.
The Sadhu Vaswani Center for World Peace is an extension of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission based in Pune. With over 70 global centers, the mission continues to spread the teachings of Sadhu T.L. Vaswani and Dada J.P. Vaswani, under the leadership of Didi Krishna Kumari.
