Salman Khan Admits Fault In Rift With Arijit Singh
MUMBAI – Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has finally confirmed the end of his long-rumored rift with singer Arijit Singh and revealed that the singer would be a part of Khan’s upcoming film, ‘Battle of Galwan’.
The confirmation came during the latest episode of Bigg Boss 19, Weekend Ka Vaar. After comedian Ravi Gupta joked that he was nervous to meet Khan because he resembled Singh, citing the supposed ‘rivalry’, Khan laughed and used the opportunity to address the years-old speculation about their feud.
“Arijit and I are good friends now,” Salman said, clarifying that the earlier misunderstanding had been entirely his mistake. He went on to reveal that Arijit has sung for him in several films, including ‘Tiger 3’, and further stated, “Arijit is also going to sing a lot of songs for my upcoming movie ‘The Battle of Galwan’.”
The feud dates back to a 2014 awards ceremony hosted by Salman. When Arijit came on stage to collect an award, Salman jokingly asked if he had been asleep. The exhausted singer quipped that the host’s jokes had put him to sleep. This remark reportedly offended Salman, leading to years of tension.
Arijit had made several attempts to reconcile over time. In 2016, he posted a heartfelt apology on Facebook, requesting Salman to keep his version of the song for ‘Sultan’, though the post was later deleted after it went unanswered. The first public sign of reconciliation surfaced in October 2023 when Arijit visited Salman’s residence, not long after lending his voice to ‘Tiger 3’, finally confirming the feud had ended. (IANS)
