Senate Democrats Postpone Vote On Kash Patel’s Nomination

India -West News Desk

WASHINGTON, D.C.-The Senate Judiciary Committee has delayed the vote on Kash Patel’s nomination to lead the FBI, citing panel rules and pushing the decision to next week.

Although Patel’s nomination was initially on the agenda for consideration, Senate Democrats requested a one-week delay, a move allowed once per member. A similar delay occurred with Attorney General Pam Bondi’s nomination last month.

The delay is not expected to impact Patel’s confirmation chances, as he remains well-positioned to receive support from Republican senators, The Hill said.

With Patel’s vote postponed, Senate Republicans are also expected to consider other Trump nominees, including Tulsi Gabbard for national intelligence director.
