MUMBAI (ANI) – Actor Shreya Chaudhry is filled with excitement as her upcoming film, The Mehta Boys, is set to have its world premiere at the 15th edition of the Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF). The film, directed by Boman Irani, also stars Avinash Tiwary and explores the estranged relationship between a father and son, touching on themes of identity, family, and belonging.

The Mehta Boys marks Boman Irani’s directorial debut, and Shreya Chaudhry feels deeply honored to be part of the project. Reflecting on her experience working with Irani, she said, “This film is incredibly special to me. It has been a tremendous honor not only to act but also to be directed by a legend like Boman Irani sir. It’s an experience I will always cherish. Collaborating with Oscar-winning writer Alexander Dinelaris at this early stage of my career is also something I am very grateful for. Boman sir’s passion and knowledge of the craft made every day on set a masterclass. I’m incredibly thankful to him for trusting me with this role and allowing me to be part of this journey.”

Chaudhry also expressed her excitement about being part of an international film festival saying, “The feeling of having a film we’ve worked so hard on be showcased at an international festival that celebrates South Asian stories is truly a dream come true, especially so early in my career.”
