MUMBAI, (ANI) – Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood has once again stepped forward to uplift underprivileged communities, this time by launching an educational initiative in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas district.
Through the Sonu Sood Foundation, the actor has taken responsibility for the education of 100 children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds under a program titled Shikshadaan. The initiative aims to go beyond basic schooling by offering comprehensive support—including school uniforms, bags, and essential learning resources.
“This isn’t just about helping children go to school—it’s about empowering their futures,” Sood said during the launch. “Education is the most powerful tool for change, and we are committed to ensuring these children receive the opportunities they deserve.”
The beneficiaries were identified in collaboration with local institutions to ensure aid reaches those most in need.
Dewas is the first district in India to benefit from this program, with plans underway to expand Shikshadaan to other regions in the coming months.
With this effort, the Sonu Sood Foundation continues its mission to not only fund education but to help children build brighter futures.
