SRK, Aryan, Salman Visit Ailing Dharmendra In Hospital
MUMBAI- Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan, accompanied by his elder son Aryan Khan, was seen arriving at the Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai on November 10 to visit veteran actor Dharmendra, who has been admitted after reportedly suffering breathing difficulties.
The arrival of Shah Rukh Khan’s Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge followed visits earlier on November 10 evening by Dharmendra’s sons, actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was also spotted arriving at the hospital with heavy security to check on the veteran star. Salman has always expressed his admiration for Dharmendra, with the two having starred together in the movie ‘Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya’. Furthermore, Dharmendra has been associated with the Khan family for over five decades, given that his cult classic film ‘Sholay’ was written by Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, along with his then-partner, Javed Akhtar.
Dharmendra, born in 1935 in Punjab, is one of Bollywood’s most enduring and beloved stars. He began his career in the early 1960s after being discovered through a Filmfare magazine talent hunt competition in 1958. His versatility allowed him to excel in romance, action, and comedy. Some of his most iconic films include ‘Phool Aur Patthar’, ‘Sholay’, ‘Chupke Chupke’, and ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’. The 89-year-old actor was last seen in the 2024 movie ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ and is next set to star in the movie ‘Ikkis’, directed by Sriram Raghavan. His role in the 2023 film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ also received great reviews. (IANS)
