Stunning Secrets: Trump Sent Covid Tests To Putin, Remains In Touch

War by Bob Woodward

India-West News Desk

WASHINGTON, DC – In a startling revelation from Bob Woodward’s latest book, War, Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly urged Donald Trump to keep quiet about sending COVID-19 test machines to Russia for Putin’s personal use during the pandemic. The book, based on extensive interviews and insider accounts, suggests that the former U.S. president and Putin maintained a secretive relationship, even after Trump left the White House.

According to Woodward, Trump sent several COVID-19 test machines to Putin in 2020. However, the Russian leader reportedly asked Trump to keep this gesture under wraps. “Please don’t tell anybody you sent these to me,” Putin allegedly said. Trump, unconcerned with the potential fallout, replied, “I don’t care. Fine,” according to Woodward’s sources.

The two leaders’ relationship didn’t end with Trump’s presidency, the book claims. Woodward writes that Trump and Putin have engaged in “maybe as many as seven” secret phone calls since Trump’s departure from office in 2021. These undisclosed communications have raised eyebrows, particularly given the ongoing geopolitical tensions between Russia and the U.S., including Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The book contrasts Trump’s rapport with Putin against President Joe Biden’s stance on the Russian leader. Woodward quotes Biden as describing Putin as “the epitome of evil” during a discussion with Oval Office advisors following Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Woodward also highlights concerns within Biden’s national security team, who at one point feared a 50% chance that Putin would resort to using nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

As expected, the Trump campaign strongly condemned the claims made in War. Steven Cheung, Trump’s campaign communications director, dismissed Woodward’s allegations, calling them fabrications. “None of these made-up stories by Bob Woodward are true,” Cheung said. “Woodward is an angry, little man who suffers from a debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Despite the denials, Woodward’s book is already generating significant buzz, adding to the ongoing debate about Trump’s post-presidential activities and his connections with world leaders like Putin.

  • Trump is a smart man. $200 won Putin’s ears. That is how an enemy is softened to listen to you.

It is not like Putin could not get the tests overnight if he wanted them.
