
Team India Coach Gautam Gambhir Receives Death Threats

NEW DELHI – Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of the Indian cricket team and former BJP MP, received two death threats via email on April 22—the same day a terror attack targeted tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Both emails contained the message “I kill you,” according to the Delhi Police.
Gambhir’s secretary has filed a formal complaint with the Delhi Police, urging swift action.
The first threatening email was sent at 2:07 PM from the address jigneshsinhsodhaparmar14@gmail.com, and the second was received at 7:09 PM from chandressodha3@gmail.com.
“Mr. Gautam Gambhir is already under the protection of Delhi Police. We do not disclose details regarding individual security arrangements,” a security official said.
