Tech Entrepreneur Vishnu Hari Assaulted, Seriously Injured

SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) is investigating an assault in the Mission District that left tech entrepreneur Vishnu Hari seriously injured.

At approximately 2:08 a.m. on January 18, officers responded to a report of a man bleeding from the head at the intersection of 24th and Bryant Streets. Medics were already on the scene, and the victim, later identified as Vishnu Hari, co-founder of the 3D simulation engine firm Ego, was transported to a local hospital.

Authorities reported that the assault occurred following a dispute with another individual, which escalated when the suspect struck Hari with a metal pipe. The SFPD has not made any arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.

Hari, who has since been discharged from the intensive care unit, stated on social media that he has no memory of the incident. He is recovering from a traumatic brain injury, partial blindness in his right eye, and hearing impairment in his left ear. He also mentioned that his jewelry was taken during the assault, although his phone and wallet were not.
