Telugu Association Event In Phoenix Draws Over 4,000 Attendees

PHOENIX, AZ – The American Telugu Association celebrated its ATA Day on August 23 at the Mesa Convention Center, attracting over 4,000 attendees. Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke attended the event as a special guest and extended his warm wishes to the Telugu community.

The event featured a range of programs that included a ceremonial ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’, a business meet for entrepreneurs, a cultural show, and a live concert. The day also included a fashion show, children’s competitions, and a food festival. The live concert by Tollywood singer Sumangaly and the Ragin Band was a highlight, with attendees dancing to the music.

During the event, ATA President Jayanth Challa announced the 19th ATA Convention, scheduled for July 31–August 2, 2026, in Baltimore. ATA President-Elect Satish Reddy highlighted the association’s charity initiatives in both the US and India, and announced ‘ATA Vedukalu 2025’, which will be held from December 12–27, in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
