BEVERLY HILLS, CA – A packed Fine Art Theater in Beverly Hills was the scene for the grand red carpet premiere of the film “The Bengal Files” on August 2. The screening, held in the afternoon, drew a large audience eager to see the latest work from filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri.

Known for his films that delve into Indian history, Agnihotri once again brought a powerful and controversial story to the screen. “The Bengal Files” is a film about the anti-Hindu terror that took place during the 1946 Direct Action Day riots in Bengal. It seeks to shed light on what the filmmakers describe as the systemic erasure of Hindu suffering and the political silence that has surrounded the events.

Following the screening, Agnihotri and his wife, award-winning actress and producer Pallavi Joshi, who also stars in the film, participated in a Q&A session with the audience.

The event began with Rajendra Vora, founder and president of the Jain Social Group Beverly Hills, welcoming Agnihotri and Joshi on the red carpet.

Community leader Sunil Agarwal served as the emcee, introducing the filmmakers and setting the stage for the highly anticipated screening.
