TiE Global held a charter members winter retreat in Colombo, Sri Lanka at the Cinnamon Beach Hotel resort, Bentota for three days starting January 25.

The retreat featured an excursion to Galle city, lunches, and dinners at local famous restaurants. The group also participated in various excursions and sports activities. The charter members enjoyed visits to the Mangrove and a Turtle hatchery along with water sports. Aravinda de Silva, the chief operating officer of the port city economic commission spoke about the opportunities of doing business in Sri Lanka.

The charter member group also had an art drawing contest under the supervision of Reji Joseph a charter member artist from TiE Chennai. Charter members from 14 cities around the world joined the CM retreat, according to the CEO of TiE Global, Vijay Menon.

“It was a fun retreat,” said Jayaram Rajaram from Bangalore. And Raj Asava from Dallas chimed in, “It was a fantastic gathering.” Sachin Khosla from Chandigarh was most appreciative of the “awesome conversations”, and Jatin Trivedi of Ahmedabad felt that “the retreat was incredible” and thanked Mahavir, Murli, Ankita, and Ranjana for organizing the retreat in Colombo.
