Trump Claims Sundar Pichai Called And Praised Him
India-West News Desk
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has claimed that Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, personally called him to commend his recent visit to a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania. Speaking on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Trump recalled, “I got a call from Sundar… and he said, ‘Sir, what you did with McDonald’s was one of the biggest events we’ve ever had at Google.’”
Trump reiterated this claim at a rally in Pennsylvania, referring to Pichai as “a great guy, very smart,” and praised him as the “head of Google.” Trump repeated Pichai’s alleged comment about the McDonald’s visit, saying it was “one of the single biggest events we’ve ever had at Google.”
At another rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City on October 27, Trump shared more about the call.
Pichai has not publicly confirmed Trump’s claims. Trump’s comments also fit within his ongoing critique of major tech companies, which he accuses of influencing online searches to undercut his campaign.
Besides Pichai, Trump mentioned similar calls from other tech leaders, including Apple CEO Tim Cook and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, though details about those interactions remain vague.
