University of California, Irvine Recognizes Pramod Kunju for Work on Criminal Justice

IRVINE, CA -Pramod Kunju, a 2022 graduate of the Master’s in Criminology Program at the University of California, Irvine was honored at the June 11 Commencement with a Research Excellence Award for his research on the impact of Artificial Intelligence in the US Criminal Justice System.

He is a Data Analytics and AI expert by profession and was the only Indian American in the program.

Kunju is currently interning at the Public Affairs Department with the Orange County District Attorney’s office and plans to raise awareness about the appropriate use of AI in Criminal Justice, a press release said.

He also has an MBA from Pepperdine University, and the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. His undergraduate degree is from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai.
