MUMBAI (ANI)- Actor Vikrant Massey is set to play spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in the upcoming film White, produced by Siddharth Anand and Mahaveer Jain.
Directed by Montoo Bassi, White is described as a “global thriller” that chronicles the resolution of Colombia’s 52-year-long civil war—a powerful and largely untold story of peace-building. Production is set to begin in Colombia in July this year.
The film will be produced under Siddharth Anand’s Marflix Pictures and Mahaveer Jain Films, in collaboration with Peacecraft Pictures.
Meanwhile, Vikrant has a busy slate ahead, including a new series with acclaimed director Rajkumar Hirani.
Last year, the actor sparked speculation about his career after sharing a cryptic post about taking a break. Many assumed it signaled retirement, prompting Vikrant to clarify his intentions.
“Acting is all I can do. And it has given me everything I have,” he said in a statement. “My physical and mental health have taken a hit. I just want to take some time off to better my craft… My post has been misinterpreted as me quitting. I want to focus on my family and health. I will be back when the time feels right.”
