Vinay Kwatra Rings Nasdaq Bell To Celebrate India-US Partnership

NEW YORK- The India-US economic relationship featured at Nasdaq, one of the world’s largest stock exchanges, on September 2 as Indian Ambassador to the US Vinay Kwatra rang the exchange’s opening bell.
The ceremony was attended by Atul Keshap, president of the US-India Business Council and former US Ambassador to Sri Lanka.
Nasdaq, in a post on X, welcomed Kwatra as “a champion of the deepening partnership between two of the world’s largest democracies” and said it was honored to have him at the opening bell.
The exchange also referred to the “enduring connection between India and the world’s most innovative markets”, saying the bond between the two continues to drive global progress and shape the future of finance.
Kwatra, in a post on X, said: “It’s a pleasure to ring the opening bell at Nasdaq this morning to mark the growing strength and promise of the India-USA partnership.”
He added that India was undergoing “a significant economic and technological transformation, driven by a strong entrepreneurial spirit”.
“The companies listed here are one of the great pillars of that partnership,” the envoy said.
