PORTOLA VALLEY, CA – Indian American billionaire Vinod Khosla made a strong pitch for President Joe Biden in his reelection campaign hosting a fundraiser and being vocal online immediately after, on May 11.
“The question I keep asking myself is would his supporters want their own kids to be like @realDonaldTrump and have #Trumpvalues? Do you want your kids to be like him? Republicans and Democrats can disagree on priorities but its Democrats, Republicans and #DONkeyRumpTrump hijack victims,” Khosla posted.
Khosla, the co-founder of Sun Microsystems, made these remarks following a fundraiser he hosted for Biden at his Portola Valley residence. Tickets for the event ranged from $6,600 to $100,000, raising a total of $1.5 million for Biden’s campaign.
News Anchor Raj Mathai quoted the outspoken Khosla as saying, “I am supporting Biden as he is the far better choice compared to the fraudster, rapist, felon, imbecile alternative who I call Donkey’s rump Trump who might destroy democracy.”
The fundraiser was the first by an Indian American in the 2024 election cycle attended by Biden. Federal Election Commission records reveal that Khosla has contributed approximately $1.4 million to Democratic campaigns and organizations.
Among the senior White House officials accompanying Biden was his speechwriter, Vinay Reddy.
President Biden laced his speech with several jokes aimed at Trump and the Republican Party. “Not everyone is feeling enthusiasm these days. The other day this guy walked up, said I’m in real trouble, short on cash, I don’t know what to do. I said Donald I can’t help you,” Biden is reported to have quipped.
