Vishal Dadlani Bids Emotional Farewell To ‘Indian Idol’

MUMBAI (ANI)- Singer and music composer Vishal Dadlani has bid an emotional farewell to the popular reality show Indian Idol, stepping down after serving as a judge for six consecutive seasons.

Announcing his departure, Dadlani shared that he won’t be returning for the next season, citing his desire for more personal time. “I’m literally only leaving because I want my time back. Can’t stay stuck in Mumbai for 6 months each year!” he wrote.

In a heartfelt post accompanied by a video with fellow judges Shreya Ghoshal and Badshah, he expressed gratitude for the memories and support over the years. “Alvida, yaaro. 6 seasons mein jitna mazaa kiya, usse bhi zyada yaad aayegi,” he said, tagging his co-judges and production team.

He thanked a long list of colleagues, crew members, and fans, adding, “Only LOVE to each and all of you, with an added apology to anyone I’ve left out here.”

Dadlani concluded on an enthusiastic note: “Time to get back to making music, playing concerts, and never putting on make-up! It’s #VishalAndSheykhar season!! Jai ho!”

Dadlani first joined Indian Idol as a judge in 2013, took a short break in 2016, and returned in 2018 for six straight seasons.

Meanwhile, the recently concluded season crowned 24-year-old Manasi Ghosh from Kolkata as the winner. She took home the trophy, ₹25 lakh, and a brand-new car.
