WASHINGTON, DC- The United States has sanctioned two India-based companies over trade involving Iranian-origin petrochemical products and blocked five Indian nationals who serve as directors of the firms, the State Department said.

The measures, announced on October 8 under President Donald Trump’s Operation Economic Outcast, target SSPL Solutions Private Limited, a petrochemical trading company, and Samudra Marine Services Private Limited, a customs broker.

SSPL Solutions imported $2 million worth of Iranian petrochemical products between February and July 2025, the department said. The company was designated under Executive Order 13846 for knowingly engaging in a significant transaction involving Iranian petrochemical products.

Its directors, Dhwani Nisarg Vora and Nisarg Samir Vora, were also blocked as senior executives of the company.

Samudra Marine Services has been sanctioned for facilitating the import of multiple shipments of Iranian petrochemical products into India. Its three Indian directors, Ketan Manohar Kochikar, Bhupendra singh Dhalsingh Sahu and Harishyam Hariharan Chundakattil, were also blocked as senior executives.

The action covers 10 entities, six individuals and five vessels linked to trade in Iranian petroleum, petroleum products and petrochemicals. Other targets include companies based in Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates and Iran, as well as shipping firms and a registered vessel owner.

The State Department said the targeted businesses and intermediaries helped transport Iranian energy products to buyers and evade sanctions.
