NEW YORK, NY – Wipro Limited celebrated a historic milestone on October 31 as its top leadership rang the Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange, marking 25 years of the company’s listing and the global launch of its AI-driven suite, Wipro Intelligence.
The event was live streamed worldwide and featured Rishad Premji, Executive Chairman, and Srini Pallia, CEO and Managing Director, alongside members of Wipro’s executive leadership team.
Reflecting on the company’s journey, Rishad Premji said, “What began in 1945 as a small vegetable oil company in rural Maharashtra has evolved into a global technology consulting and services organization with a presence in over 60 countries.
Our journey has been one of resilience and reinvention—overcoming challenges, adapting to change, and staying true to our purpose. These milestones are a tribute to the countless individuals whose passion and commitment have shaped Wipro over the decades.”
Pallia noted that the occasion was more than a commemoration. It highlighted Wipro’s ongoing transformation. Founded 80 years ago and entering the technology business five decades ago, Wipro has built a strong international presence across sectors including financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, and retail. Its adaptability, values-driven leadership, and sustained investment in innovation have established Wipro as one of India’s most enduring global success stories.
