TORRANCE, CA – Sri Panchamukha Hanuman Temple hosted its second annual Community Health & Wellness Camp on July 25, bringing healthcare professionals, volunteers and community members together for a day focused on health, wellness and community service.
More than 150 community members received free health screenings, consultations and educational resources. Twenty-five physicians and healthcare professionals from the South Bay and surrounding communities, along with numerous volunteers, donated their time and expertise.
Services included physician and pediatric consultations, vision and dental screenings, psychiatric and mental health consultations, nutrition counseling, and Ayurvedic and homeopathic consultations.

Through a partnership with Lestonnac Free Clinic, eligible patients also received free prescription eyeglasses. The camp provided additional education on diabetes awareness, healthy nutrition, stroke prevention and mental health.
Participants also took part in a 30-minute Hatha Yoga session featuring breathing techniques and gentle yoga practices focused on physical and mental well-being.
Torrance Mayor Sharon Kalani visited the event and met with healthcare professionals, volunteers and community members, recognizing their collaborative efforts to support the health and well-being of local residents.
Now in its second year, the Community Health & Wellness Camp reflects Sri Panchamukha Hanuman Temple’s commitment to Seva, or selfless service, and community outreach, volunteer organizers noted.
