Netanyahu Calls Modi To Discuss Growing Ties

NEW DELHI-Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 6 evening received a phone call from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which the two leaders reviewed progress in the India-Israel Special Strategic Partnership and exchanged views on the current situation in the Middle East.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the two leaders reviewed sustained progress in the India-Israel Special Strategic Partnership and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors for the mutual benefit of both countries.

“The two leaders agreed to remain in touch,” the PMO said.

In February, Modi visited Israel on a two-day State Visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Netanyahu.

During the visit, the two leaders elevated bilateral ties to a ‘Special Strategic Partnership for Peace, Innovation and Prosperity’. (IANS)
