India-West News Desk
MUMBAI – Bryan Johnson, the American entrepreneur famed for his anti-aging initiatives, faced significant discomfort during his recent visit to India due to Mumbai’s air pollution. Johnson, in the city to promote his book Don’t Die, shared his experience on social media, stating he was immediately impacted by the poor air quality upon arrival. Despite using air purifiers in his hotel room and wearing an N95 mask outdoors, Johnson reported a burning sensation in his throat and eyes.
Johnson’s remarks came in response to a post by venture capitalist Debarghya “Deedy” Das, who highlighted the adverse health effects of India’s pollution. Das described his own experiences of watery eyes and frequent nose-blowing while in the country. Johnson echoed Das’s sentiments, emphasizing that Mumbai’s air quality had similarly affected him.
During his stay, Johnson hosted an exclusive meet-up titled Don’t Die, aimed at inspiring attendees to pursue longer, healthier, and happier lives. The event, which received over 1,100 applications, was limited to just 50 select participants, including notable Indian personalities like Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal and comedian Tanmay Bhat.
Johnson, a 45-year-old former Silicon Valley executive, is widely recognized for his groundbreaking work in the field of anti-aging. Through his Blueprint platform, he explores innovative methods to reverse aging, garnering attention for radical experiments, such as undergoing blood transfusions from his teenage son.
