‘Awarapan 2’ Hits Rs 120 Crore Worldwide

MUMBAI-Emraan Hashmi-starrer ‘Awarapan 2’ has grossed an estimated Rs 120.86 crore worldwide in its opening weekend, including Rs 84.31 crore net in India, according to the film’s makers.

The film recorded Rs 23.40 crore on Independence Day, followed by Rs 34.09 crore on Day 2 and Rs 26.82 crore on Day 3. Its three-day domestic total makes it the third-highest opening weekend of 2026, the makers said in a statement.

Overseas markets contributed an estimated $1.9 million, or around Rs 18 crore, to the worldwide tally.

The makers also said the film has registered the fourth-highest Independence Day weekend collection of the 2015-2025 period.

‘Awarapan 2’ features Hashmi as Shivam Pandit and also stars Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Puran Gabbi, Suvinder Vicky and Aniruddh Rawal. The film is directed by Nitin Kakkar and written by Bilal Siddiqui and Vishesh Bhatt.
