SACRAMENTO, CA- Jashanpreet Singh, founder of the Stockton-based Punjabi Devils motorcycle club, was sentenced on May 11 to five years and four months in prison for unlawful firearms dealing and possession of a machine gun, federal prosecutors announced.

Singh, 27, of Lodi, was arrested at San Francisco International Airport on July 26, 2025, after authorities learned he had booked a flight to India. The arrest came days after he failed to appear in San Joaquin County court, where he had initially faced state charges related to the case.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California, Singh attempted to sell multiple weapons to an undercover officer in June 2025. The weapons included a short-barreled rifle, three assault weapons, three machine gun conversion devices, and a revolver.

Authorities later searched Singh’s residence and recovered additional firearms and firearm parts, including a machine gun, another machine gun conversion device, a silencer, and high-capacity drum magazines.

Investigators also discovered a pineapple-style capped and fused hand grenade and what law enforcement believed was a military electronic capped claymore mine. The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office bomb squad destroyed the devices at the scene.

Court documents described the Punjabi Devils as a Stockton-based outlaw motorcycle gang associated with the Hells Angels.

U.S. Attorney Eric Grant announced the sentencing. The investigation involved multiple federal and local agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Drug Enforcement Administration, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Stockton Police Department.
