Adani Signs With Mayo Clinic For Affordable Health Care Campuses In Ahmedabad, Mumbai

ROCHESTER, NY – India’s Adani Group has partnered with U.S.-based Mayo Clinic to establish two affordable health campuses in Mumbai and Ahmedabad, with an investment of over $686 million. The collaboration aims to provide affordable, world-class healthcare to underserved communities in India, addressing the country’s low public health spending.

The two campuses will include hospitals, medical colleges, transitional care centers, and research facilities. Mayo Clinic Global Consulting will provide technical expertise, but the health system will not own, operate, or staff the hospitals. This is strictly an advisory role and not a joint venture.

The hospitals, which will be built of what is already being dubbed as  Adani Health City, will feature a 1,000-bed hospital, a medical college, and research facilities. The new campuses are part of Adani’s $690 million commitment to improving healthcare access across India.

Adani Group Chairman, Gautam Adani, expressed confidence that the partnership with Mayo Clinic, the world’s largest integrated not-for-profit medical group practice, would help elevate healthcare standards in India, particularly in complex disease care and medical innovation.
