After 2000 Attack, Rakesh Roshan Worried About His Own Guards Shooting Him
MUMBAI (ANI)- Actor-director Rakesh Roshan recently opened up about the terrifying experience following the 2000 shootout incident that left his family shaken.
Roshan recalled that after the attack, he was assigned armed security guards for protection. However, instead of feeling safe, he constantly feared that they might accidentally harm him.
“No matter how many security personnel are around, you are still an open target. If someone wants to harm you, security won’t be able to do anything,” he said.
He further added, “I would sit in the front seat while my two-armed guards sat in the back. That made me even more scared. What if something happened, and they shot me from behind?”
Roshan also shared how the constant security made him feel “claustrophobic,” especially during his walks on the beach. Eventually, he requested the removal of his security detail, choosing to live without it.
Recently, Rakesh Roshan won the Outstanding Achievement Award at IIFA 2025. The filmmaker, known for classics like Karan Arjun and Koi… Mil Gaya, was also featured in The Roshans, a Netflix docu-series alongside his son Hrithik Roshan.
