Mumbai Police Arrest TV Actor Rohit Chandel For Stalking Girl

MUMBAI-Television actor Rohit Chandel has been arrested by Mumbai police for allegedly stalking, repeatedly calling, harassing and assaulting a 16-year-old girl in an eastern suburb of Mumbai.

According to the complaint, Chandel, a resident of an eastern Mumbai suburb, allegedly repeatedly called the minor on her mobile phone from his number as well as several other numbers and harassed her.

The complaint further alleges that on July 5, Chandel confronted the girl near her home, chased her, picked an argument with her, abused her and assaulted her with his hands.

Police said the accused allegedly called the girl several times between December 2025 and July 7.

Chandel is known for his role as Peshwa Baji Rao in the series ‘Kashibai Bajirao Ballal’. He also appeared in the streaming series ‘Escaype Live’. (IANS)
