Ashok Patnaik Elected Chairman For Cerritos, CA, Parks & Recreation Commission

CERRITOS, CA – The City of Cerritos has appointed Ashok (Pat) Patnaik as the Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Commission. Patnaik brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of service to the city, having previously served as a Commissioner for almost 14 years in various capacities, including Parks and Recreation, Economic Development, and Community Safety.

In addition to his role with the Parks and Recreation Commission, Patnaik holds the position of Vice President for Small Business Lending at Wallis Bank, Cerritos. Previously he was the Global Marketing Manager at Dresser-Halliburton, where he worked with major US corporations and established joint ventures in 36 countries across different continents. This international experience has equipped him with a global perspective that he brings to his role in the local community.

He currently serves as the Vice President of the National Federation of Indo-Americans and has served as the founding president of the UFICA organization in Southern California.

As a long-term resident of Cerritos, Patnaik is passionate about contributing to the betterment of the city. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the National Institute of Technology in India and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
