At USISPF Meet, Modi Urges Community To Seize ‘The Moment’

WASHINGTON, DC – Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the last day of his recent visit to the US, spoke at an event organized by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF).

Saying that Indian Americans had been pillars in the development of America, he also said that the was the moment to be seized.  “This is the moment, India-US governments have done the groundwork,” he said while urging the community to catapult the relationship further.

President Joe Biden and Modi, among other things, have launched the US-India New and Emerging Renewable Energy Technologies Action Platform to deepen cooperation in green hydrogen and other emerging technologies and agreed to set up the Indo-US Global Challenge Institutes to spark deeper research partnerships in semiconductors, sustainable agriculture, clean energy, health, and pandemic preparedness.

They also launched an initiative to expand the pool of H1B and L visa holders in 2024 and announced the opening of new US consulates in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad and a new Indian consulate in Seattle.
