Athiya Shetty And KL Rahul Welcome Baby Girl

NEW DELHI– Actress Athiya Shetty and Indian cricketer KL Rahul have welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on March 24. The couple announced the news in a joint Instagram post on Monday evening, with a picture of swans and the caption, “Blessed with a baby girl.”

A flood of congratulatory messages poured in from friends, relatives, and peers in the industry. Actor Suniel Shetty, Athiya’s father, replied with a heart and an evil-eye emoji. Several Bollywood stars, such as Vikrant Massey, Vaani Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari, Parineeti Chopra, Mrunal Thakur, Bhumi Pednekar, and Masaba Gupta, wished the new parents all the best.

Just a week before their daughter’s birth, Athiya and KL Rahul had posted photos from a pregnancy shoot, with the actress dressed in flowing pastel gowns and chic monochrome outfits. The couple revealed their pregnancy in November 2024 with an emotional message saying, “Our beautiful blessing is coming soon.”

Athiya and KL Rahul first met through a mutual friend in 2019 and kept their relationship low-key before getting married in January 2023. Their close-knit wedding was held at Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala in the presence of close friends and family.
