Being Unscripted, Authenticity Makes ‘Laughter Chefs’ A Success: Chef Harpal

MUMBAI (ANI)- Celebrity chef Harpal Singh Sokhi attributes the massive success of the first season of ‘Laughter Chefs‘ to its genuine and unscripted nature.

The popular Indian cooking-based show is set to return for its second season, premiering on Colors on January 25. The show features celebrities preparing various dishes based on criteria set by Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi. Chef Sokhi and comedian Bharti Singh judge these creations.

Chef Harpal highlighted the show’s authenticity as a standout feature. “I think we are all very happy that a show was created that acted as a differentiator and hence loved by people. This show is genuine, which makes people happy. If the food is bad, it is bad, and if it is good, it is good. People often ask us if the show is scripted. Maybe a small part is, but the majority is unscripted. We do whatever we like. We are free people, and we are free to do everything. It resulted in the success of the show,” he said.

Actress Kashmera Shah, who has been part of the show since season one alongside her husband Krushna Abhishek, shared her excitement for the upcoming season. “We are very excited for the second season. When a season goes well, it helps in the livelihood of many people, and we receive blessings. We become therapists for them. People love the show, they laugh, and it’s such a good thing,” she said.

She also emphasized the show’s impromptu nature. “Nothing is scripted, and everything is impromptu. That’s why you see fumbling and overlapping in the show,” added Kashmera Shah.

The second season will introduce new celebrity participants, including Manara Chopra, Samarth Jurel, Abhishek Kumar, Rubina Dilaik, Abdu Rozik, and Elvish Yadav, promising fresh entertainment and laughter for the audience.
