Blockbuster ‘Dhurandhar’ Undergoes Government-Mandated Changes
NEW DELHI-India has directed the makers of the 2025 blockbuster ‘Dhurandhar’ to implement specific dialogue changes and audio mutes. Following these instructions, a revised version of the Ranveer Singh-starrer began screening in theaters on January 1.
The primary modification involves the muting of two specific words and the revision of one dialogue.
The word “Baloch” is among the words removed from the new theatrical cut, India Today reported.
Distributors acted quickly to ensure compliance with the government directive before the New Year. An exhibition source informed Bollywood Hungama that theater owners received an urgent notification on December 31.
In less than a month of its release, ‘Dhurandhar’ became the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025.
