Clicked By Big B: Priyanka Shares Throwback Image Of Father Rajiv Gandhi

NEW DELHI (IANS) – Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi on August 20 shared a throwback picture of the former Prime Minister of India and her father Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary. The picture in question was clicked by veteran Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who had good relations with Rajiv Gandhi and Indira Gandhi.

Priyanka shared a photo along with a montage video of her father, with a backdrop song of ‘jeena isi ka naam hain’ from the 1959 film ‘Anari’. It was sung by Mukesh.

In the caption, Priyanka quoted the lines of the song: “Kisi ki muskuraahaton pe ho nisaar, kisi ka dard mil’s sake to le udhaar, kisi ke vaaste ho tere dil me pyaar, jeena isi ka naam hain.”

“These lines always remind me of you. Whenever I listen to this song my eyes are filled with tears. Photo credit- @amitabhbachchan Ji,” added Priyanka.

The photo shows Rajiv Gandhi wearing a bomber jacket, with a DSLR camera hanging from his neck. He has sunglasses on his head. The background shows an old brick wall and grass.

  • DO NOT call him Mega Star. He is way over-rated. He is in reality is glorified clown. Does not even know how to dress well!

  • A shameful period for India. A pilot thought his qualification was that he was the son of Indira and if he could pilot a plane, he could pilot India. Just an ego that would not tell the man that he was not right for India. And then he perpetrated the Sikh genocide and got many Indian young officers killed.

And then Big B thought he could taking his acting to the real world. It is one thing romancing and exchanging flirts with daughter-in-law and another in politics requiring a clean image.

Rajiv brought in a lot of friends and ushered in an era of instability that saw PMs come and go until Vajpayee and Narsimha Rao, friends from different sides of the isle stepped in and stabilized India. Manmohan Singh brought in by Rao was a good stop gap for the BJP to grow and bring out some great leaders after Vajpayee’s death.
