Dosa On World’s Top Pancakes List

CHENNAI– South India’s masala dosa has secured a place among the world’s top pancakes, ranking sixth in the May 2026 list of the 50 best pancakes released by TasteAtlas. Tamil Nadu’s paper dosa and regular dosa also cracked the list.
The dish holds a 4.3 rating, making it one of the highest-ranked savory entries on the list. The broader dosa category is placed at number 15 with a 4.2 rating, while paper dosa ranks 35th with a 4.1 score.
Other Indian dishes making it to the top 100 include Pitha, Odisha (98), malpua (85). Uttapam and rava dosa also featured at 74 and 96th positions.
The top five features a mix of international dishes. Latvia’s kartupelu pankukas ranks first with a 4.4 rating, followed by France’s crepes sucrees. Classic French crepes and Nutella crepes take the third and fourth spots, while China’s jianbing completes the top five.
