DSNDP Volunteers Collect 280 Pounds of Trash Near Freeway

PLEASANTON, CA – Volunteers from the global non-profit Dr. Shri Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan (DSNDP) January 18,  participated in an Adopt-A-Highway cleanup at the intersection of Highway I-580 and Santa Rita Rd here.

In collaboration with the California Department of Transportation, the volunteers successfully collected approximately 280 pounds of trash.

Since 2022, DSNDP has been leading nationwide efforts to promote cleanliness under the motto “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (The world is one family).

In California, the organization has also organized other programs such as Adopt-a-Ramp and Adopt-a-Beach. Over 342 volunteers have contributed more than 679 hours, helping remove nearly 6,570 pounds of waste from public spaces.
