Gauri Khan Advises Designers: Prioritize Originality Over Trends

NEW DELHI (ANI)– Celebrated interior designer and film producer Gauri Khan recently offered valuable advice to aspiring designers, emphasizing the critical importance of individuality and client understanding over fleeting trends.

Khan, recognized as one of India’s leading interior designers with a career spanning over 13 years, has crafted aesthetically pleasing spaces for notable clients including Karan Johar, Falguni and Shane Peacock, and Ananya Panday.

Khan urged budding designers to “Stay true to your instincts and don’t get lost in trends. Good design is timeless, and your individuality is your biggest strength.” She further elaborated on the crucial factors she considers before embarking on any project, stating, “I would say the first thing is to understand what the client needs, their story, and their lifestyle. I think every project needs to feel authentic to the people who will live in it.”

Khan’s own journey into design began with the renovation of her home, Mannat, where she discovered her passion for transforming spaces.
