GOPIO-LA To Be  Helmed By Baljinder Tahim

ANAHEIM, CA – The Global Organization of People of Indian Origin Los Angeles Chapter new leadership team for the 2026-2027 term  is being led by Baljinder Tahim as president. The local chapter gathered at the Tawa restaurant banquet hall to transition leadership and swear in the executive committee members who will guide the organization for the next two years.

Tahim has been a foundational member of the Los Angeles group since its inception and previously served as the vice president. His deep involvement in every major project undertaken by the chapter led to his unopposed selection for the top leadership role, the organization said.

Joining Tahim on the executive committee are Vice President Aparna Hande, Secretary Yatri Shukla, and Treasurer Meeta Gupta. The committee is rounded out by Joint Secretary Priya Kumar and Chairman Charu Shivakumar. The new team officially took their positions effective January 1, 2026.

The event also served as a recruitment milestone for the organization, as fifteen new members joined the chapter during the proceedings after learning about the various initiatives and community activities planned for the upcoming term.

The new executive committee has appointed the board of trustees for the 2026-2027 period. The appointed trustees include Kewal Kanda, Ashok Madan, Rajinder Dhunna, Kalika Gupta, Navin Gupta, and Anju Garg.
