Hema Malini To Make Singing Debut At Charity Concert Supporting CINTAA
MUMBAI –Veteran actress and Bharatiya Janata Party Member of Parliament Hema Malini is set to make her live singing debut during ‘The Dream Girl’s Diamond Jubilee Concert’, a charity event being organized in support of the Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA).
The concert, celebrating Malini’s six-decade-long career in Indian cinema, will be held in Mumbai on July 10 and is being conceptualized around the theme ‘Legends Ki Kahani, Legends Ki Zubaani’.
For the first time, Malini’s cinematic journey will be presented on stage through her own voice as she performs songs associated with her films and shares memories from her career. She is also expected to perform a surprise song during the finale.
The evening will feature a 15-piece live orchestra highlighting milestones from her life and career.
The concert will also support CINTAA through a contribution being made on behalf of Malini toward the welfare of artists and workers from the entertainment industry.
Artists scheduled to participate in the event include Sudesh Bhosale, Kavita Krishnamurthy Subramaniam, Suresh Wadkar, Padmini Kolhapure, Anup Jalota, Anu Malik, Shabbir Kumar, Vijeyta Pandit and Purnima Shrestha.
The Diamond Jubilee celebrations will also include the release of a book on Malini’s life, co-authored by Hema Malini and radio host Anirudh Chawla. (IANS)
